For posterity, I'm making an entry for the notice that was ppossted on the now-shuttered Valorious Awards website in May of 2024. The announcement read as follows and then redirected all traffic to my site:
Dear Valorious Awards Community,
We are writing to share an important update about the Valorious Awards. After much reflection and consideration, we have decided to close down the awards program. This decision comes as we focus our efforts on other endeavors that encourage and celebrate the culture of world building through the creative arts.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of the Valorious Awards journey. Your passion, creativity, and support have made this program a truly remarkable experience. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our participants, and we are especially excited to celebrate this year's winners at HopperCon on July 20th in Watertown, New York.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Let us come together to honor the amazing contributions of this year's winners and look forward to a bright future filled with creativity and inspiration.
