Wayne and I are thrilled to present our fans with the first look at the brand new cover art for The Berinfell Prophecies Book Three: The Tide of Unmaking.

Because book 3 is the most epic of the series and spans locales near and far, as well as a diverse range of characters and notable moments, it was hard to pint-point exactly what should be on the cover. But once we saw the “world on fire,” we knew it was the right fit.

To all of our readers who’ve patiently waited for this final installment, we can’t thank you enough. You’re the reason we write. And we hope you like this cover (and the book!) as much as we do.

Huzzah!!! Looks awesome!

Andy · 1 Aug ’12 at 11:13 am

Taisia · 1 Aug ’12 at 12:19 pm

Ooh! That’s looks great! I can’t wait!! When will it be available to buy?

    Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 1:17 pm

The manuscript is in my hands now (Wayne has signed off for his part). After my read-thru, I’ll format it, and then send it to the e-formatters on Aug. 27th. Looks like an early September release from there.

    Taisia · 1 Aug ’12 at 2:08 pm

    So excited!!!!!

    Taisia · 1 Aug ’12 at 2:12 pm

Pardon my ignorance, but does e-formatters mean that it’ll be an e-book? I don’t have an e-reader (just because I love the feeling of reading a good book and the sound of the pages turning 🙂 ). I should probably get one though. It’s a good way to store a lot of books without taking up too much room and I don’t have much room myself…

      Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:54 pm

The book will be available in both physical and digital forms. We have to format the manuscript twice: once for the print version, and once for the digital (which actually requires about 4 different file types to make it accessible to all the various e-readers out there).

Nathan Petrie · 1 Aug ’12 at 12:54 pm

This is beautiful…by far the best one to date. 😀 Love it! Can’t wait to grab it 🙂

    Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 1:16 pm

Well that’s certainly cool to hear Nathan! Thanks for the feedback.

*EXplodes* *my remains Explode* *the remains of that explosion explodes* *whatever tiny pieces might have been left of my elven body explode*

    Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:53 pm

“Clean up on aisle four. And five. And possibly three. Um. Definitely three.”

Aarathyn · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:15 pm

Hyper is the first to blow! *explodes* We really should get a doctor. This can’t be good for us….

    Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:54 pm

    Dialing one now…

    Taisia · 2 Aug ’12 at 1:06 am

emma e squared · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:41 pm

This looks incredible! I can’t wait to read it!

Billy Jepma · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:49 pm

Wow, that looks fantastic! :O Consider me super excited!

Ryan Paige Howard · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:55 pm

WOW… it is beautifully EPIC and will go nicely with the rest of the series.
The teaser sounds great! Seven years have passed… way too cool! 😀 I like growing with the characters.

I must ask the same question as Taisia… Is there going to be paperback copies? I too don’t have an e-reader and I much prefer hardbacks/paperbacks. There’s just something special about them. Like really checking out every little detail (I’m a little weird that way), the joy of turning a page, and the bitter sweetness of seeing how close to the end you are. And you can’t forget the coolest thing of all… having the author(s) signature… you can’t have that with an e-book 😉

BTW Love the new look for your site. 🙂
Have a blessed day.
In His Grace,
~Ryan Paige Howard (Ryanheart)

    Christopher Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:56 pm

    Thanks Ryan.

See my response to her above.

We could always sign your e-reader if you went digital. 😉

Site mods compliments of Jason Clement at New Life Media.

Hillary Hopper · 1 Aug ’12 at 3:58 pm

    Christopher Hopper · 2 Aug ’12 at 6:25 am

    Are you sure it’s Earth?

    Glad you like it!

    Andy · 2 Aug ’12 at 11:18 am

    You mean… It’s not earth?!?!

    Taisia · 2 Aug ’12 at 4:10 pm

    Ooh! All these mysteries!

    Andy · 5 Aug ’12 at 4:36 pm

    Pathfinder · 13 Aug ’12 at 1:38 pm

If waiting means that it’s even more epic, then it’s definitely worth it

      Christopher Hopper · 14 Aug ’12 at 4:15 pm

Appreciate that perspective. It will be worth it!

Ciara · 2 Aug ’12 at 10:37 pm

That. Is. Intense.

I’m SO excited for it to come out! I think I might just…

*can’t contain excitement* *EXPLODES*

And somehow I managed to be a day late…

    Christopher Hopper · 3 Aug ’12 at 7:19 am

Better late than never! Exploding elves are always welcome here no matter the time.

    Ciara · 3 Aug ’12 at 8:47 am

Or as my grade six teacher once said, “Better late than early!” XD

[More clean up on aisle 4]

    Gabe · 6 Aug ’12 at 1:17 pm

    *disembodied hand picks up mop*

    Has anyone seen my head?

    Ciara · 6 Aug ’12 at 8:39 pm

Found it! But you might need a neck before you can put it back on…

    *hands Gabe his head*

    Taisia · 6 Aug ’12 at 9:29 pm

Oh no! I manage to stay intact for so long! Don’t….*BOOM*

    Gabe · 7 Aug ’12 at 3:19 pm

    *disembodied hand picks up head*

    Thanks. Oh, here’s my neck.

Kameron · 5 Aug ’12 at 7:22 pm

Wow! the cover looks GREAT! i cant imagine how epic the book will be!

    Christopher Hopper · 6 Aug ’12 at 7:27 am

Thanks Kameron! I’m editing the manuscript now; it’s pretty epic!

Debra Lobley · 8 Aug ’12 at 5:51 pm

Is this supposed to be the last book?

    Christopher Hopper · 12 Aug ’12 at 4:41 pm

    Yes, Debra…at least from us…

    …the mystery deepens!

    Jag Swiftstorm · 17 Aug ’12 at 1:20 am

After reforming, thinks that maybe the Underground Elves are supposed to write a fourth book… but also remembers something else he read somewhere, and wonders if there’s a connection…

      Christopher Hopper · 17 Aug ’12 at 4:25 pm

Stay tuned on this thought! You may be closer than you know…

    Jag Swiftstorm · 17 Aug ’12 at 6:01 pm

The first one, or the second? And I’ll say that the person who I heard it from has the same amount of letters in both his first and last name…

Sarah · 9 Aug ’12 at 8:29 am

This looks totally awesome, Sir Hopper! But I’m more excited about the summary- this sounds incredibly awesome! I can hardly wait for it to come out. (Maybe I should save my B&N gift cards . . . will it be available through Barnes&Noble?)

*picks up mop and cleaning supplies* I’d better go see about cleaning up after some of those exploding elves.

Thanks for writing such awesome books!

Cole · 9 Aug ’12 at 8:18 pm

I can’t wait! I’ve been waiting forever for this! The cover is awesome and I can’t wait to read it! Any ideas as to when it might be available for preorder? 😉

    Christopher Hopper · 12 Aug ’12 at 4:42 pm

Thanks Cole! Glad you like it. Shooting for Sept. 15th.

emily zine · 10 Aug ’12 at 1:34 pm

JD Lovell · 14 Aug ’12 at 9:47 pm

Sir Batson and you have done a great job on the cover! SO AMAZING, SO EPIC!

Scarlet Raptor · 29 Aug ’12 at 7:47 pm

YAAAAAHOOOOOOO! **Explodes** Comes back together. **Explodes again, trys to come back together but can not** ”Help! I can’t get back together! I can’t read the book!”

Scarlet Raptor · 29 Aug ’12 at 9:10 pm

By the way, Do you have a big picture of a Scarlet Raptor?

    Christopher Hopper · 31 Aug ’12 at 8:24 pm

I went out to take a picture of mine this morning but she was not cooperating. Almost bit my arm off. Warning: never feed your Scarlet Raptor a box of Twinkies: as much as they’ll act like they want them, their bowels will torment them (and you!) for days.

ben the elf · 1 Sep ’12 at 5:35 am

ben the elf · 3 Sep ’12 at 9:45 am

Wohoo. the long wait has come to an end cant wait!! :). so when the big day comes, where can i order the book from? Amazon??

    Christopher Hopper · 5 Sep ’12 at 9:50 pm

Yes, Amazon. But we prefer you (and all your friends) get it through our Amazon direct page (CreateSpace) which is the same amount for you, but benefits the authors you love a little more.

ben the elf · 6 Sep ’12 at 6:47 am

haha ok no prob. have been a big fan for many years 🙂

Karis · 17 Jul ’17 at 7:22 pm

Who did you have design the cover? 🙂 I checked out the website in the book, but the site is no longer active or something like that.

    Christopher Hopper · 24 Jul ’17 at 2:57 pm

    Hi Karis,

I did the art design. I’m not sure who I gave credit to in the book; may have been someone I wanted to thank.

      Karis · 25 Jul ’17 at 7:36 pm

Oh, okay … it said on the copyright page ‘interior and exterior layout and design by New Life Media.’ So you actually drew/graphic designed the cover image? That’s really good! 🙂

        Christopher Hopper · 25 Jul ’17 at 9:42 pm

Ah, that’s right. I’d forgotten I did that. At the time, NLM was a company I was co-founder of and I wanted to give it as much of a boost as I could. So, I housed my design work in the company name. Not untrue, but I certainly didn’t identify the designer (me). So thanks for your kind words. Yes, I was very happy with how it turned out. Years later and it’s still inspiring readers; that’s truly encouraging.

          Karis · 26 Jul ’17 at 1:51 am

That makes sense 🙂 Thank you for elaborating, and keep writing (and designing) the awesome works!
