The world doesn’t hate marriage.

They don’t loathe fidelity.

Nor do they disdain love.

What they are is yearning for authentic displays of the divine. The souls of mankind crave the kiss of heaven, restless until they’ve touched something they recognize on the most intrinsic of levels, unable to articulate and likewise to deny.

Our hearts ever echo with the song of our origin, longing to be reunited even in our most base condition. That is why Jesus came, to summon the eternal score of his own composing to life, and hear the melodies that only he can conduct.

It’s genuine examples of marriage the world is looking for. Unashamed of cracks, undeterred by bruising, couples who smell like heaven despite being tainted by earth. Marriages that still reflect the glorious in spite of the mundane.

If you don’t show them today, there’s no guarantee they’ll see it tomorrow.

She’s not perfect; though I’m ever inferior. My bride reveals more of the courageously encouraging beauty of the Father’s heart to me than any woman I have ever met.

Young women, endeavor to be this caliber of person in your support of those around you. Young men, walk in such ways that your hearts inspire others to rally to your causes. The world is in need of the flawed, sacred heroes that pen history with their covenants. ch:

The girls & I were just talking about Jenny & Hannah Hayner tonight. How special they are & though we don’t see their flaws they aren’t perfect, but Definitly 2 women girls should model. Their hearts are so pure & they are so real. You have a one of a kind woman, & the 2 of you together is so inspiring. Gives us that want a Godly marriage hope in knowing it can still happen.

Hannah is a remarkable friend and woman of God for sure. Keep leading those girls around you!

I’m with Beth. The example and love that you and Jenny have together is inspiring. No one is perfect, but you guys work together and make your marriage “perfect for you”. You both set a great example in the church, and any guy that I could ever be interested in, I think about you and Jenny. I wonder if that guy would be sure to love Jesus more than he would ever love me, but still love and care for me and support me. I know you and Jenny both do exactly that, and more for each other. Love you guys and all that Jesus is doing with your family!

Thanks Megan. Loved this: “No one is perfect, but you guys work together and make your marriage “perfect for you.” Well said.

I adore you. Thanks for treating me so much like Jesus does. I know him better because of knowing you.

Dang….that’s good Chris.

So, CK, how did you snag ‘the babe’. Ask your mama about some of our history together. She wrote a beautiful song for Stuart’s and my anniversary at JJ.

    Christopher Hopper · 22 Mar ’12 at 4:18 pm

I walked up to her while she was playing piano at an event and said, “Hey, my name’s Christopher Hopper,” to which she replied, “So?”

    The rest is history.

And what a beautiful surprise to hear from you.

Beautifully written. What an inspiration for the simple fact that me and my husband are striving to achieve that very thing with our marriage. Your words and marriage is such an encouragement. Thank you for this blog. 🙂

Cheere: may your pursuit continue. And may you be encouraged to know that your mere effort makes you a target for the divine. Well done, and keep going.

Ahhh….waxing poetic as a natural, spiritual response to the Christ-like love of a Proverbs 31 woman. It gives me goose bumps bro’!! Never ceases to amaze me how you are a younger, better, albeit more follicly challenged, version of myself. Lol

    Christopher Hopper · 22 Mar ’12 at 4:17 pm

Thus why I cherish our friendship so. Honored by your compliments – jealous of your style.
