God doesn’t need our worship.

We do.

God’s not suffering from an identity crisis in which He needs constant reminding of his attributes or character.

But we do.

God doesn’t benefit from the hundreds of Biblical commands outlining demonstrative, physical expressions of exuberant worship.

But we sure do.

Last night as I watched 33 Live’s worship team lead teens into passionate praise of Jesus, I was impressed with the simple fact that, of all the things this young generation needs – and all generations, for that matter – they need to worship a living God and experience His presence.

My father raised me with a powerful saying: “The worst place to be is where the Holy Spirit was.” I want to be where He is.

Exciting things are happening in Jefferson County, NY, and the Holy Spirit is here. ch:

Your dad is a very wise man. You don’t want to be in the presence of the Holy Spirit unless you want to be changed. He will change you if you are willing. Praise His holy name!

“You don’t want to be in the presence of the Holy Spirit unless you want to be changed.”

    Great line.

Thanks for the compliments about my daddy. House closes at 9am this morning in Freeville! The Hopper Exodus is coming to an end; a new chapter awaits.

I love that lesson from your dad – awesome! It reminds me of a little quote I heard from Wayne Gretzky “If you want to score a goal, you need to go where the puck is going, not where it’s been!”

Ps. Jonnie told me he saw you at Gen-Con? We went out to look for you, but must have crossed paths. Sorry we missed you.

    Great quote!

Sorry we missed you; it was a very fast stop-thru just to say hi to peeps. Thanks always for your encouragement and kindness.

It was so powerful, felt it up in production too. Its an awesome sight to look out the window & see everyone engaged in such a powerful worship. Heard from many that they hadn’t had a night of worship like that in a long time.
Just proves its a God thing we reestablished prayer before the service. Even in that worship prayer time with Carlton you could feel the presence.

Agreed. Very proud of Costa, too, the band rehearsing, and having more leaders make a point to be up front and lead with their presence. Powerful night from start to finish.
