My iPhone went crazy. Text messages, voice mails.

“Look up at the sky!”

Not sure what others saw along our latitude, but northern NY had a brilliant display of the aurora borealis. And I only caught the last 5 minutes.

This is the original, unaffected shot I took on my Nikon D7000, 3.5f, 800, 15-second exposure.

Just one more reason I cherish living in the middle of nowhere, because it’s God’s somewhere. ch:

Oh, that’s amazing! I would love to see the aurora borealis someday. I’ve seen pictures, like yours, of it, and I think God enjoys watching it as much as we do.

Ahhhh such signs in the heavens! Glory be to God, Creator Father of All Things!

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
… Psalm 19:1-4

Thanks for capturing God’s somewhere Christopher. BEAUTIFUL! Oh how I am amazed by HIM!

Love in Christ!

So beautiful! God’s paintings in the sky are my favorite of all His paintings. So amazing & miraculous.
Couldn’t see then from my house, so thanks for sharing. 🙂

My daughter called me last night & told me to go look outside, she was so excited & couldn’t figure out what it was, so my husband and I went out & looked in the sky & it was so beautiful, we both said that it had to be the Northern Lights, I have really never seen it, it was truly beautiful, it was amazing, the Northern section of the sky was like red and the eastern sky was like thin beams of lights that shimmered and was beaming towards the heavens, truly amazing

Aurora Borealis! Amazing how an upheaval and storm in another place (this one 93,000,000 miles away) can produce such beauty in our neck of the woods. Nice photography C! (And nice seeing you in the big city this AM) 🙂

    Christopher Hopper · 25 Oct ’11 at 2:45 pm

    Never thought of that! Chaos is one place is sanctuary in another. Woah…there’s a novel in there.

    Right on. Was cool seeing 2 authors walking down the street together.

      Christian Fahey · 25 Oct ’11 at 2:53 pm

      And great seeing a third author getting ready to take Europe by storm. Yeah. Bon Voyage!!
