Fantasy Fiction Tour hits the WEST COAST in 2008

Hey’a gang!

It is with great pleasure that I get to announce the long-awaited sequel to last year’s ground-breaking Fantasy Fiction Tour, this year hitting the West Coast October 4th thru 12th.

Most of my readers will remember last year’s exciting journey starting in Atlanta and ending in Manhattan. Well, it made such a stir in the industry that we decided to do it all again…but bigger!

Four additional authors have been added to last year’s lineup: Donita K. Paul, L.B. Graham, Jonathan Rogers and Eric Reinhold. You can read all about them on our Meet The Authors page, and peruse their wide selection of Books.

The FFT website just got a massive overhaul thanks to Jason Clement, and we’ll be issuing HTML banner ads very soon for you to put up on your websites and blogs to help us promote the tour.

And like last year, we’ll be doing the Daily Video Journal during the tour itself where you can follow along with us. And if you missed last year’s Video Journals-–no worries-–you can watch the entire collection in the 2007 Video Journal Library.

I suggest you read the entire Press Release, too, as it has a good accounting of last year’s success and what to look forward to this year.

To all those out on the West Coast, I look forward to meeting you!

Thanks for reading,

CH

Will you be coming into Canada at all? You have to!

Say, which books did you write again? I seem to be having some trouble tracking them down…

    :)Ian(:

  • Ian: Actually, we ARE planning on coming to Canada! There is a book store right over the border from Bellingham, WA that Sir Bryan Davis frequents and has a great repore with. I’ll see if I can find out for you.

    Thanks for your enthusiasm!

  • Yeah! Of course I’m East Coast so I won’t be joining you all at all… But it’s still pretty cool!

I saw “West Coast Fantasy Fiction Tour 2008” on your schedule and wondered what it was all about. Sounds exciting! I was kind of surprised to not see Jeffrey Overstreet on the lineup at first, but it still looks like a great group!

The only way I’m happy about this is if it means that you guys will be going down the center of the US next year. Still, it looks as if you people are going to have a lot of fun spreading your books around the east coast. Have a great trip!

  • that’s soo cool!
I wish there was some way to get out there… but I’ll be a poor college studen then…

  • Shane: Yeah, I kinda’ had it on my schedule to see if anyone was looking, just as a gimmick. I guess someone was! 😉

Kayla: Thanks! So any particular states you’d like us to hit in the “center of the US”? Hmmm?

Roh: Power to the Poor College Students! Won’t quite be the same without your smiling face; you’ll be missed fo’ sho’!

Well, Minnesota or Iowa would be nice,(Home state and state I’ll be in college in) but Wisconsin, South Dakota or Nebraska would be alright if you weren’t too far into the state. Why not just go down the Mississippi?

  • sw

Are you going to stop in Oregon? It’s West Coast!
    🙂

  • Kayla: What if we did a FFT Boat Tour down the Mississippi? Of course, that might take forever, but we could do a little section…maybe sell tickets for people to join us…like an author cruise! But on the Ole’ Miss! Hmmm…

SW: Portland has been talked of so look for permanent dates coming. Do you live anywhere close to there? I have good friends in Canby.

A boat tour would be sweet. I can see headlines now

    – 8 authors + swords, capes and shields + boat + the Mississippi River= The Fantasy Fiction tour of ’09

  • Right on, Kayla! I’ll run it by everyone as an idea! 🙂

    CH

  • Glad you’re writing, Bubba. Don’t ever stop. Love you. Christian

  • Hey, don’t forget to continue the good work you started last year promoting your favourite Brit writer…

    better still, mention me! 😉

  • Man, I wish I could go. I want to see you, Wayne, Sharon, and Mr. Davis again, and I SO want to meet Mrs. Paul! (I haven’t read the others’ books yet…). So sad I’ll be missing this tour 🙁

    Have fun, y’all!
